Hello! Let’s talk about the latest Google core update, the March 2025 update, which Google launched on March 13, 2025. If you have a website, it’s very important to understand what this update is about and how it can affect how your site appears in Google search results.
In this article, I’m going to talk about the key points related to the March 2025 major update and show you how to check if your site has been affected. I will keep it simple and straightforward, just as if we were talking about your website in a chat.
As with previous core updates, these changes reflect Google’s ongoing refinement of their understanding of search intent, content quality parameters, and relevance metrics. Organizations experiencing significant traffic shifts should avoid reactive modifications until the update completes its rollout phase and a comprehensive performance analysis can be conducted.
What is a main focus of this core update?
As far as I learned, this update continues to focus on encouraging websites that have really high quality content created by people who know what they are doing. Google’s main goal is to ensure that users find the most useful and reliable information when they search for something.
However, I have also noticed that Google is showing more and more artificial intelligence reviews at the top of the search results. These are small summaries created by artificial intelligence, and they often contain links to websites. You should keep a close eye on how these AI reviews are evolving and how they can affect the traffic coming to your site.
Actions to Take Following Significant Algorithmic Impact
If your analysis in Google Search Console shows that the March 2025 core update has had a significant negative impact, don’t panic! Here are some things you can do:
- Review your content: Take a close look at the content of the pages whose rankings have dropped. Is it still really good? Does it provide people with the comprehensive and reliable information they are looking for? Does it meet Google’s E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authority, and Trustworthiness) principles?
- Look for ways to improve: Look for areas where you can make your content even better. You may need to add more unique insights, data, or examples, or try to optimise for artificial intelligence review.
- Check technical SEO: Also make sure your site is technically sound. This refers to things like site speed, its performance on mobile devices, that Google can easily find and understand your site, and that the overall user experience is good.
- Think about user intent: Try to really understand what people are looking for when they land on your pages. Do your pages really answer their questions or meet their needs?

My feedback
So actually i passed this core update with positive impact over 80% of my websites. Most of all it was PBNs websites which was recovered from previous update in December 2024.

Here just few samples of my PNBs which was penalized in last updates. Same pattern on 80% of blogs: all domains start recovering keywords in SERP.
How i recieved this result?
Im generally made few simple things:
- I just removed zombie pages. And used redirects to all of them. R301-> Homepage.
- Redused amount of external links on my articles.
- Added comparison table with comparison with my near competitors.
